The Member-Get-A-Member Program is a program started in 2018 that rewards current members $250.00 for recruiting new members into Cement Masons and Plasterers Local 528 Union. This program is an organizing strategy to try to get our current members to talk to non-union workers and convince them of the benefits of being in our Union. Some of you know people working in the non-union field, some of you drive past small concrete crews to and from work, some of you are on jobs with non-union craftsmen. Our members are our eyes and ears across the region and a lot of people do not know anything about unions or had an opportunity to join one. This is a great way to spread the word about what we do, how much we make and who we are. Last year, Local 528 had 24 members bring in new recruits, some receiving multiple checks. Payouts to our members in 2021 so far totaled over $6,000.
